This stunning pub with rooms is located in the hamlet of East Knighton, four miles from the famous Jurassic Coast in Dorset and ten miles east of Weymouth and Dorchester.
The recently refurbished pub has a cosy snug as you walk through the front doors focussed on real fires to warm people up the minute they enter. The long bar on the left extends through the main body of the pub, past the popular pool table and into the dining area beyond.
Our large restaurant area serves delicious pub food daily. The main pub area is relaxed and dog friendly. There are large beer gardens to the front and the rear of the pub, which at the first sign of Spring, are very popular with customers.
A warm welcome and friendly staff await you and when you arrive you’ll be met with a smile as well as a fantastic selection of beers, ales, wines, spirits and soft drinks. We offer a relaxed country atmosphere that anyone can enjoy, along with regular events, including live music, karaoke, sports on TV and quiz nights.
We have nine en-suite bedrooms, all of which are furnished to a high standard, making the Countryman perfect base from which to explore Dorset's beautiful countryside, coast and historical towns and villages.

The pub has excellent transport links, being just a five minute drive or taxi from Wool Train Station, on the A352 between Dorchester and Wareham, and we’re about the same distance from England’s south coast - where you’ll find magical views and some great walks.
