About Castle Inn

Everything you’d expect from a great local pub

The Castle Inn is a fantastic, traditional pub located on Castle Inn Road, just off the A527.

Situated just in between Congleton and Biddulph, the Castle Inn is the perfect pit-stop for anyone visiting the nearby Staffordshire Moorland! The pub is short walk from the Biddulph Valley Way, which in conjunction with the Macclesfield canal, makes an interesting walk from Congleton Station.

The Castle also stands close to Biddulph Brook, which is a tributary of the River Dane and was once known as the Ghost River!

It has been suggested that the origin of the name of the Castle Inn could be a reference to the castle-like appearance of nearby Biddulph Hall.

Inside the pub we have two rooms – one for sipping on a proper pint of beer, and the other for tucking into a delicious meal!  In the summer months, join us in our stunning new beer garden with views of the picturesque woodland and neighbouring golf course.

A real hub of the local community.
