Local Attractions

Our pub sits centrally within the west tip of Cornwall making it an ideal base to explore West Cornwall. Locally you can find everything that Cornwall is famous for; surfing and sailing schools; gorgeous gardens; cliff top walks; boat trips; and iconic attractions such as St Michael’s Mount, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Minack Theatre, Land’s End, Tintagel Castle and the Eden Project, not to mention both the north and south coastline.

Some of our personal favourite local places to visit are:

Flambards Theme Park – 10 minute drive away. Theme park for thrill rides, Victorian Village and exhibitions, plus children’s indoor play area.

Cornish Seal Sanctuary – 15 minutes. Seal and sea lion rescue centre and cafe with a collection of otters, penguins, ponies and goats.

Koru Kayaking, Frenchman’s Creek – 25 minutes away. For those of you seeking something a bit more physical take a guided tour on the spectacular Helford River.

Trebah Gardens – Valley gardens with seasonal blooms, subtropical trees, adventure play areas and private beach. Perfect for all of the family.
