WELCOME TO THE PELICAN INN
The Pelican Inn is a quaint, late 17th century pub with a warm, cosy atmosphere along with eight comfortable bedrooms and a friendly welcome guaranteed.
We’re situated in the Wiltshire countryside, near the village of Froxfield, between Marlborough and Hungerford. Immersed in a walkers paradise, we’re only a five minute stroll from the scenic Kennet and Avon Canal (bridge 90 and lock gate 70), and notably on the doorstep to a number of lovely walks across the backdrop of our stunning landscape.
HISTORICAL GEM
The Pelican Inn began life as a coaching inn, becoming a pitstop for passing travellers, throughout the 1700’s. Just like centuries ago its in our heart to provide honest hearty food, great drinks and a place to rest your head. Ours was the last of three coaching inns to be built in the village, which since Roman times has been situated on a popular route linking London and Bath.
