About Th’Owd Tithe Barn

Everything you’d expect from a great local pub

Dating back as early as 1710, the pub was originally a post-medieval tithe barn for storing grain and corn.

Overlooking the colourful boats in the marina, the pub still maintains its old charm. Hung from the beams and fastened to the walls are farming history artefacts and celebrations of local crafts.

Our menus serve the best of traditional pub food. Featuring reworked classic English dishes with creative and tasty touches, you owe it to yourself to try one of our delicious meals.

From the bar, you can enjoy our fine selection of cask ales, world lagers, or a tipple from our amazing range of gins, whiskeys, wines and spirits.

Our seating next to the canal ensures that you can enjoy one of our chilled beers or glass of wine during the summer months whilst watching the boats pass by.

We also allow well behaved dogs in the Tithe Barn at any time during opening hours in the bar area, snug and in our large beer garden. We have a water bowl available to stop them going thirsty, but please bear in mind that dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
